HUGH HOLLAND X PART TIME X L.A EYEWORK

HUGH HOLLAND
Hugh holland is most probably the father of skateboarding photography. He documented the emerging skate scene of the mid seventies in L.A , as an anthropologist would have : capturing lights and moments, and pioneers skaters on 35 mm film of hollywood surplus.resdiscovered in the early 2K years, these legendary pictures happened to be a priceless poetic and nostalgic unseen time capsule. For this story Hugh went back to the very place where he took most of his iconic pictures sharing with us a late afternoon golden hour in Venice L.A.

PART TIME
Part Time, is an experimental band, initiated by David Loca. A lo-fi bedroom-recorded sound that is equal parts psychedelic pop, soft rock and primitive synth pop. Staying aside of the mainstream music industry is the fuel of that group always experimenting new combinations without loosing its inherent oddness. While preparing their latest EP ‘modern history’, the group met in Venice, challenging huGH to witness their best stage looks.

L.A EYEWORKS
If an eyewear brand belongs to Los Angeles, this have to be L.A Eyeworks. Founded 40 years ago by two friends, Barbara McReynolds and Gai Gherardi, their initial shop is still there on Melrose Avenue, and the company remained privatly owned despite of the success. What made it a revolution was simple, no other, in the world, has challenged so far the status quo that was prevailing at the time being, and initiated a new era in optics design, where provocative revelations of faces are not an option.
