Zero Waste Draping Workshop

Zero Waste Draping Workshop

Masterclass workshop by multi award-winning design duo Cunnington & Sanderson at Nottingham Trent University.

Always a joy to see a 2 dimensional piece of cloth being transformed into a unique, gender all, one size, wearable garment. Not only that, but the students learn draping techniques, drape directly onto the mannequin, record their process, design and toile their own unique design, take measurements and draft a zero waste pattern.

Take an identical piece of cloth and create multiple unique sustainable fashion designs directly upon the body forme by learning how to understand the fabric and design with craftsmanship with their hands, the students soon develop skills how to create innovative and imaginative garments.
